Il Galateo at 2022 MILAN DESIGN WEEK

In nowadays world where sociability has been lacking, many have felt a strong need to interact again with others.
In this context, inspired by its rich table collections, for 2022 Milan Design Week Buccellati decides to explore the contemporary galateo as courtesy, conviviality and kindness.
Patricia Urquiola interprets this topic with a playful approach, reproducing a picnic basket on the rooftop of the company’s HQ.
Taking inspiration by The Powers of Ten by Charles and Ray Eames, Urquiola gently put the Tahiti collection a the centre of the scene, surrounded by a group of objects of common use, the ones that can be easily found within a picnic lunch.
Laid on a 100% recycled PET rug, the collection is surrounded by vegetation and the whole installation is placed on a box covered in cork.
