Private Residence, Milan

The design for this private residence in Milan stems from a request for a dedicated home. A project designed for a young family, it specifically addresses and interprets the needs and vision of its owner, a woman. Layout and material details suggest a feminine presence, expressed by abolishing absolute contrasts, strong colour combinations, searching instead for natural materials associations. Shades include purple and powder, combined with cement, grey oak wood, onyx and drapes. This home becomes a life-sized display case for the family’s art collection: a scenario where existing objects confront their container, with strong combinations of materials, with a playful irony in the colors, and femininity in the contrasts.
