Das Stue

Das Stue is a hotel bordering Berlin’s Tiergarten Park, located in the former Danish embassy. The design spirit was the creation of an island of comfort and peace in the heart of the city, with a direct contact to the nature. It reinterprets the building’s identity and history in a respectful yet contemporary way. A central feature was the restoration of public spaces (lobby, restaurants, lounge and bar, spa, libraries and the Bel Etage). These shared areas were conferred the feeling of a communal living room over the floors, a place for guests to meet, relax and interact, or rest. The original marble contrasts with materials (wood, travertine stone, resins, concrete, opaque tiles and cupper), highlighting the intimate atmosphere of a harmonious ensemble.
